Guidelines for Journalists

If you are a journalist, use DiverseCity Voices as your online rolodex to connect with diverse candidates ready to address a broad range of issues.

It will help you:

• Go beyond the “same old” sources
• Simplify your research
• Engage new and more diverse audiences

Getting set up is easy:

1. Go to maytree.com/voices and click on “Sign up Now” under “For Journalists”
2. Enter your information and click on submit.
3. Once your profile has been authenticated and approved, you will receive an email from DiverseCity Voices staff indicating that your account is active.
4. You can access the rolodex and contact candidates directly.

How to use the online rolodex

When you log in, you will arrive at the DiverseCity Voices Dashboard where you will have three options for finding candidates:

1. Search by Keyword
2. Browse by Areas of Experience
3. List Candidates

A candidate profile lists the following:

• Name and Picture
• Areas of Experience
• Languages Spoken
• Bio
• Publications
• Citations in the Media
• Organization Affiliations / Work Experience
• Training and Education
• Contact Information
