About DiverseCity onBoard

What is DiverseCity onBoard?

DiverseCity onBoard connects qualified candidates from Aboriginal, visible minority and under-represented immigrant communities to agencies, boards, commissions and committees in the public and nonprofit sectors.

We have a roster of over 1000 candidates looking for opportunities and have facilitated over 300 appointments. Some of the boards to which we have made appointments include the Ontario Science Centre, Women’s College Hospital, United Way of York Region, Toronto Arts Council, Seneca College, Big Brothers and Sisters of Ajax-Pickering, Sherbourne Health Centre, Oakville Distress Centre, and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.

How the online database works

Our matching algorithm will help organizations find candidates that meet their requirements. The names of qualified candidates will be listed for each vacancy. Organizations will then be able to view the candidates’ profiles and résumés.

Organizations can also search the database for candidates that match the skills and competencies they need for their board and view brief profiles.

Candidates will be able to view vacancies the day after they are posted and apply to organizations directly.
